Long Description : Nashville Zoo is one of the city’s true gems. And with every new exhibit, the amazement and sense of adventure grows. The interest grows too as more families believe a trip to Nashville isn’t complete without a visit here. They come back for things like the new 3-acre African Elephant Savannah that feels just like walking in the grasslands of the dark continent; the Grassmere Historic Home and Farm, a 19th century farm complete with the original Grassmere home; the Unseen New World, full of reptiles, amphibians and bats in natural habitats; and Bamboo Trail with fascinating creatures like clouded leopards, red pandas, and brightly colored birds all cloaked in a forest of bamboo. Our Entry Village introduces you to Hyacinth macaws in a tropical habitat surrounded by waterfalls. Shortly after playful gibbons call from their island home and curious meerkats come so close you could count their whiskers. There is also Critter Encounters with an up-close look at some friendly animals and the Jungle Gym, a giant playground where kids can go wild. Relax for a spell and enjoy one of the Zoo’s award winning animal shows or take some time to shop at our beautiful Zoofari Market. We also have the best burgers in town at our Zoofari Cafe. For whatever reason, make a trip to the Zoo part of your visit to Nashville.
